SPORTEL Awards honours Women’s Football.
The expansion of women’s football in the past few years is undeniable, as shown by the unprecedented media coverage of the 2019 Women’s World Cup held in France.
With a higher visibility of international competitions, increasing audiences, involvement of sponsors, high profile official partners, women’s football on a global level continues to develop.
For this 31st edition, SPORTEL Awards brought together 4 outstanding women that are working at their own level to promote women’s football, women’s in sports and their future. This public event will be an opportunity to raise questions and discuss current topics on the future of women’s football.

Frédérique Jossinet, the former French judoka, silver medalist at the 2004 Olympics, has embraced the game and is currently Director of women’s football at the French Football Federation since 2014.
Jessica Houara-d’Hommeaux, the former professional player and international defender who played for Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique Lyonnais, who retired last January. After having worn the French national team jersey 64 times, she completed a career with two Champions Leagues, two French Women’s Champions titles, two French Cups, and is now a consultant for Canal+.
Laure Boulleau, the ex-international player of Paris-Saint-Germain, with 65 selections. She’s the second most selected player as captain of PSG in official competitions, 6 times vice-champion of France with PSG, finalist of the Champions League in 2015 and winner of the French Cup in 2010. She is now a consultant for Canal Football Club on Canal + and also host “L’Instant Laure” on PSG TV.
This event will be hosted by Aurélie Bresson, founding president of “Les Sportives”, the media of reference for women’s sports since 2016 and president of the Alice Milliat Foundation, the first European foundation for women’s sport.
Les Sportives is a quarterly magazine and a website that combines sport for women and brings together a whole community concerned with the media coverage of women in sport.
