Djibril Cissé was born in 1981 in the South of France. He started showing his talent for football very early. At 13, he enrolled a sports study program in Nîmes. Then, in 1996, he continued his youth career in Auxerre where he got prepared for a professional start. He quickly became very good and became the second best strikers of the team ever.
In 2002 and 2004, he was elected twice as the best striker of the Ligue 1 championship and was spotted by Liverpool Football Club. With his new team, he won the Champions League Final in 2005. In 2006, he decided to quit Liverpool and got transferred in a lot of different clubs: Panathinaïkos (Greece), Lazio Rome (Italy), Queens Park Rangers (England), FC Kouban Krasnodar (Russia) and Bastia Sporting Club (France). Besides all the clubs he used to play with, Djibril Cissé has no less than 41 team selections for France. He ended his professional career in 2015.
Besides his football career, Djibril Cissé decided to launch his own clothing brand, Mr Lenoir, in 2012. In 2015, he participated in the sixth season of “Dance avec les Stars”, broadcasted on TF1.
