Son of the former professional football player of the Paris Saint-Germain, Michael Llodra began playing tennis at the age of six. During his career, he achieved 5 titles in singles and 25 victories in doubles of the ATP tournaments, including 3 Grand Slams : the Australian Open in 2003 and 2005 with Fabrice Santoro and Wimbledon in 2007 with Arnaud Clément. He is also winner of the three ATP World Tour Masters 1000 and of the 2005 Tennis Masters Cup.
In singles, Llodra reached 2 titles in 2008 : the first in Adelaide, where he defeated Jarkko Neiminen in the final, and the other in Rotterdam, where he edged out Robin Söderling. In 2009 Michael Llodra made two finals in singles : the 2009 Open 13 in Marseille and the 2009 Grand Prix de Tennis de Lyon in Metz.
Llodra had been playing with the French Team in Davis Cup for 15 years. He reached 3 time finals in 2002, 2010 and 2014.
Michael Llodra is an Olympic vice champion in doubles partnering Jo-Wilfried Tsonga at Olympic Games in London.
