« Dub » was the child prodigy of basketball. Currently holding the record for the most points scored in a single match, as well the selection record for the French national team, his shot acted as a calling for others to take up basketball, and made a long-lasting imprint on history.
Nicolas Batum, Tony Parker, Joakim Noah and so many other French NBA stars idolise him, as he was the first Frenchy to be offered a contract to play for the most world’s most prestigious basketball championship in 1994.
Dub is a more than a man, he’s a style, a career, a mass of unequalled records . . . a legend.
However in 2001, having begun a coaching career as promising as his career as a player, everything changed overnight when Hervé was hit by a reckless driver. He was to survive this terrible accident, but at a price, being put into a long-term coma, suffering partial amnesia and losing 7 years of his life.
Today, Dub is back. Still a huge icon in his sport, he continues to share his experience as coach to the Antibes Sharks (Pro National Basketball League A).
