Dana Barteková, born 19th of October 1984 is a sport shooter from Slovakia. She is a two-times Olympian (Beijing 2008, London 2012), bronze medallist from London 2012 in the skeet women event. She is a 6-time World Championships medallist (1 silver, 5 bronze), 14-times world cup/world cup final medallist (5 gold, 5 silver, 4 bronze) and 7-times European Championships medallist (4 gold, 1 silver, 2 bronze). Danka Barteková is a professional athlete, employed by the Police Sport Centre in Bratislava.
Danka is a member of the International Olympic Committee, elected in London as an athletes´representative in Athletes Commission (2012-). She is also a member of Coordination Commission for the 3rd Summer Youth Olympic Games in 2018 in Buenos Aires (2013-); Public Affairs and Social Development through Sport (2015-), Evaluation for the 3rd Winter Youth Olympic Games in 2020 (2015-); Member of the Board of directors of Olympic Channel Services S.L., Spain (2015-).
She has a Master degree in International Relations as a former student of Faculty of Political Sciences and International Relations, University of Matej Bel in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia. She studied international relations with the main subject of her dissertation being „Sports diplomacy“. She used to work as a Member of the Advisory Council of Minister of Education for Sport Matters in Slovakia (2009-2010); Young Ambassador of the Youth Olympic Games 2010 in Singapore; observer at the Executive Committe of the Slovak National Olympic Committee (NOC) (since 2012) and member of the Advisory Group of Speaker of the Parliament for the Sports Bill (2015).
