Nathalie Péchalat was born 22 December 1983 in Rouen, France. She began ice skating at the age of seven and later decided to continue her education with the Sports-Study program. At 12 years old, she joined the French team of Ice Dancing.
She met Fabian Bourzat in 2000, in Lyon, where she trained with Muriel Boucher.
In 2008 the couple moved to Moscow to train under Alexander Zhulin. In 2011 they became European Champions for the first time.
Then, they moved to Detroit (first under the guidance of Angelika Krilova, then of Igor Shpilband), and won their second consecutive European title and a bronze medal in the World Championship in Nice. They ended up their career after winning another bronze medal with their “The Little Prince and the Rose” performance at the World Championships in 2014.
Nathalie and Fabian participated in the worldwide competitions and shows. In total, they won 20 medals in Grand Prix (including 5 gold).
Meanwhile, Nathalie pursued her studies at the business school EM LYON and in the Academy of Finance in Moscow. She graduated from Master in Science Business School.
In September 2014, Nathalie successfully passed the casting for the new season of Dancing with the Stars on TF1 and became a finalist.
She is currently an ice skating coach and a consultant on Eurosport for the major Ice Skating events.
